Priceline has had a real issue with not only sometimes defining airport zones broadly, but also putting people in places that don't have transport. When they first got wind that this was causing customer dissatisfaction, they did what they usually do: update the disclaimer.
One advantage of using Hotwire over Priceline is that, since a single, specific hotel is being offered on HW, the amenity icons will tell you whether the hotel under consideration offers shuttle service.
In a situation where some hotels on the Priceline list (on Betterbidding) are reported to not offer shuttle service, sending a little more on HW might be money well spent.
