Something I have been wondering about, why are there so many hotels near airports (when the airport is usually not the travel destination). Sure you need them for crews, irrops, fly in-out meetings, but why so many, what am I missing?
I would have thought that the main users of airport hotels are people who don't want to get up in the middle of the night to catch an early flight, or who don't want to arrive home in the middle of the night after getting off a late one.
