I asked the agent about it, as well as someone who claimed to be the top level at BOS for United, and what I got was that I'd have to write a letter to ask for some kind of compensation (if any). I haven't contacted United proper yet, figured I'd throw it in here first to see. They also said that they put some notes in my reservation but of course I've no idea what's in there.
