Sao Paulo is hot but dangerous. We were there and saw a mugging right close to where the gay bars are. They stole the dudes shoes, we ran into a cab and went back to our hotel, the Renaissance. We did hire a cab driver that took us around in the evening. Be careful, we don't look like gringos so we kinda blend in, Rio and Sao Paulo. As well we never had a problem in both cities.
