If you Print Your Own Boarding pass and hand luggage only - you probably need to get your ID confirmed at LHR if you're still airside and making a connection.

If you had hold luggage, then you need to provide ID anyway at the baggage drop at the outstation. I believe there was a thread about this somewhere.
