Booked MAN-BOM in Economy class for a trip in December (later changed to November). Booked the ticket in August, didn't have too many problems getting availability. The main problem was Virgin clarifying how many miles were required, as this route is not listed in their handbook. Some agents said 70,000 (on the assumption that BOM was grouped together with South East Asia), but after a lot of checking (i.e. going through the contracts they have with Singapore Airlines), it emerged that the correct figure was 55,000 miles. A pretty good deal for what is the only non-stop flight to India out of MAN.
