It's been a while since I've used the JFK AirTrain. Are there Metrocard vending machines at all AirTrain stations, or only at the Jamaica and Howard Beach terminals where the AirTrain fare collection occurs? In other words, is it possible to buy an unlimited-ride Metrocard at the Terminal 4 AirTrain station, and then just go back downstairs to board the Q10 bus?
