Could it have been due to choppy air? They often will cut back or cancel service if there is turbulence.
If your flight is a short-haul, YOW-YYZ v/v only, why on earth would you pay J class fare, or even latitude for that matter? I am sure your hard-earned money could be spent in better ways, but again my opinion only. Have you thought of charity, or the 4 billion people who are sleep on a hungry stomach????
