I have obviously signed up for this as I have my trip to Joberg coming up and want to take advantage of the free tickets, but how easy is it to atain status. I always aim for gold - Silver usualy means free advertising for them with my luggage tags, but 250,000 miles, thats a lot for gold. does it matter if they are flown miles or bonus miles - amex, hilton etc ? at 6000 miles round trip in eco and 12000 in UC thats still 21 UC roundtrip flighs to NYC from LHR.
