I am thinking about booking a Reward ticket MAN-BOM with Singapore Airlines in Economy. The problem is, I have been getting different responses as to what mileage is required. Based on the guidebook, I thought that this route would fit into the Europe-South East Asia bracket and would require 70,000 miles. When I rang to confirm, the agent I spoke to told me that the figure for MAN-BOM was actually 55,000 miles. He seemed very clued up. He knew about the guidebook figure, but said that this route was definitely 55,000 miles and he even double-checked this. I arranged for the transfer of some points from my credit card and then rang again to book the flight, but this time another agent and her supervisor insisted that the figure was 70,000 miles. I rang one more time and spoke to a third agent who told me that not all Singapore Airlines flights were available on reward tickets and this was one of them!!!! Does anybody know the correct information? Thanks.
