I booked a relative on a great hidden city bargain for 27-Mar. Twelve days later the extra funds from the unused second leg (flight continuation, not a connecting flight) are not yet available for reuse. I know the amount is trivial relative to the $171 fare savings, but I've booked quite a few flights the past couple days and would have liked to apply those funds. Is there a policy difference related to crediting unused segment fees for direct versus connecting flights? Has there been a policy change since December 2007? Yes, I know I could call to inquire, but....
