I used the SKL this morning just by presenting my UA C-class BP.
What is the KF Gold lounge, and how does it differ from the SATS lounge?
This was my first time in the SKL. Nice view of the terminal, a good food spread, and lots of computers. Did I miss anything else? I didn't even check... does it have showers?
Damn... I was in there too this morning, but didn't have any luggage as I left it at the left luggage the night before.
KF Gold lounge is right next door to SATS lounge UA uses.
It is for KrisFlyer Gold members/*Gs (except PPS and LH SEN/HON IIRC) flying in Y.
There is no shower and food option is not so great.
There are 4 computers, and no restrooms inside the lounge.
But that was my only option with UA Y BP.
As I flew in from HKG the night before, I didn't have my C boarding pass until UA transfer desk opened at 4:40AM.
So, I had to settle into KFG lounge, had a couple of drinks and checked email before going into the city for a little sightseeing/munching/collecting stamp on my passport.
Came back at around 4:00AM, wait in KFG lounge for UA transfer desk to open, got my C BP and went to SKL C.
The bad thing was that my NRT-LAX flight was also changed from new config to old config.
This week has been tough for me.
Two last minute equipment change on long haul flights that's supposed to be new config.
