The way you're protesting, there must be something in the rumours!

On a detail, you know the reason why Virgin USA didn't take off. All to do with US rules on ownership of domestic airlines.

Also, the 'double beds in the sky' are an idea for the 3XX, a plane which has not even been built yet. Even BA has been known to announce plans for its new planes before delivery.

Most will recognise that VS's Premium Economy has been so successful on all routes except Athens that BA has belatedly introduced its own version on one or two routes, though with fewer miles to be earned.

Talk about marketing hype - what about BA's grand plans for Gatwick, most of which now seem to be out of the window? What about BA's grand plans for their alliance with AA? Not seen much evidence of that. I can't even earn BA miles on transatlantic AA or AA miles on transatlantic BA. (I can earn VS miles on transatlantic NZ.)
