G-VIIR - Avoid Seat 4A in J

Just back from a fabulous holiday in Grenada - two excellent flights in CW. On the way back I was sat in 4A (3 Class 777) and the IFE was not working. The Cabin Manager tried rebooting the system several times but it didn't work - so out came the trusty iPod.

The Cabin Manager said that she had flown on G-VIIR several times in the last week or so and that seat seems permanently a problem despite having reported it to maintenance. The excuse apparantly is that the turn aorunds at both ends are too tight at the moment to do much about it.

Wasn't really that bothered as I had an excellent meal, watch a film on my iPod then slept for 5 hours.

So beware this seat on this aircraft (or more likely this seat on LGW 3 Class 777 routes as you won't know which aircraft you will get.
