Those don't really match....nor will that price fly for something decent in midtown to be honest...
Search the NY boards here or Zagats for tons of recommendations - pick what you like.

Definately do the subways, one trick is getting 1 metro card for every three people and share the discount for the higher spend. Since it's a stored value card it's legal to pass it back.
