I sat almost across the aisle (8C) on my recent MR to TXL on a 757. Both ways there was a couple with an infant in the bassinet. Both kids looked pretty young. Both slept most of the trip. The bassinet is stowed for take off and landings. The FA brings it out and hooks it in place about 10-15 minutes after take-off. It is directly opposite those seated behind it, but just above knee height so it doesn't infringe on leg room.
