Question AY or CX(old seats) in J to Europe?

For summer, the difference to both CDG and FCO between CX and AY is about 3-400USD, in I class. With CX, to CDG we would have to take the A340, under the fare rules, and to FCO, there is only the A340. I believe both have the older style inclined business class.

Finnair ex ICN is also with and A340. The total travel time is similar, along with one transfer with either airline. Departure and arrival times are also pretty close.

We have used the older style CX business class in the past, and it seems AY is pretty similar- which would you take, and why?

There is also a very cheap VN fare to CDG during summer of, which is about 900USD cheaper than AY for business class. I am a little hesitant of taking VN (no OW miles, though I could add them to my KE account). I know that is isn't OW, but does anyone who has flown long haul business class on VN think that they are any good, and would the saving be worth it (in terms of comfort during flight!)

Thanks in advance.
