Except that we're talking about screeners w/a known infectious disease, that is not only spreading amongst the workforce, but is also spreading across the airport itself, continuing to work amongst the traveling public.
It is for this reason that the healthcare industry developed 'universal precautions' & put such an emphasis on hand hygiene-just because a patient is sick is no reason for the healthcare worker(s) to spread it either amongst themselves or to other patients. That is the part that is missing in this scenario or at least hasn't been made public. And before anyone can start w/the 'privacy' stuff, there is a big difference between naming names of the itchy & outlining the steps taken in response to this outbreak as well as preventing future outbreaks of other infectious diseases.
