A friend received a paper SWU when the IFE on his C cabin seat failed on a TPAC flight. He doesn't normally fly UA, so he gave me the SWU when he came back to the US. The SWU has his name on it as well, but I had no problem using it on a TATL flight. I requested an upgrade via the 1K desk, and then just handed over the SWU when I checked in for the flight at the airport.
