Frankly if I were anywhere but CLT, I would know what I would be doing right now. The fact that I'm in CLT which is so dominated by US leaves me a bit confused.

Do I jump ship right now? Give up my CP status; give up direct flights; get acquainted with ORD (ugh), MSP (more ugh), or Atlanta (again, ugh); try to get status with one of the airlines that will always be connection based?

Or do I ride it out? I've burned 120k miles on upgrades to CDG in two months taking me down to 550k in my account. Some have suggested booking awards tickets on another airline with those miles, but that goes against my model of using miles as upgrade fodder when needed.

What's a hub dweller to do?
