I believe if they get rid of F, they're dead. Without an F cabin what premium rev they have now will evaporate, as well as their current FF members. How many of you want to redeem miles for Y awards to Europe? Woohooo!
I don't believe they will be able to outdo JetBlue or best Southwest in the Y-only game.
DirectTV will be expensive to install and maintain, and they're in no position to think about beating WN in a point-to-point system.
Their best option is to become an eastcoast-HP with cheap, and simple fares.
