Wow, I just funded my Ultimate Savings with a Citi AA Visa. Although I was assured and re-assured it's a purchase, it took numerous calls back and forth between Citibank and Citicards and 2 declines before I called Citicards Credit Services and asked them to have a 3 way conversation with Citibank New Accounts and have them manually force the transaction with a special approval code. Ironically, it took about 5 times the effort compared to funding with a Chase card previously.
