We did also consider combining this with a trip to HKG, either booking to HKG and then hopping (I know it's 4-5 hours!) to NRT, or booking an open-jaw with a one-way NRT-HKG ticket, but I'm stunned at the inter-Asia prices (possible to fly cheaper LON-HKG in Y than it is to fly NRT-HKG ). Again, am I missing something here, or is this a particularly pricey route?

Please excuse my ignorance - I'm more a short haul kinda guy, and have never MFU'd, so this is all a wee bit daunting!

Thanks in advance.
Or, if you do want to stick with OW, then don't forget about the Visit Asia tickets that you'd be able to buy if you fly to Asia on a oneworld airline. (Unfortunately flying in Economy) NRT-SIN=$370 for a single; NRT-HKG=$275 for a single; single HKG-SIN=$195. Not sure if the prices include tax, and the catch is that there is a two segment minimum, but it is another option. Move quickly though because the 10% off sale that is on at the moment is ending soon (on for 10 weeks and it started 1 Feb).
