Agreed with the above comments. It seems that overhead space is never really an issue on JetBlue flights - sure, the completely sold out flights tend to get some gate checks, but very few compared to what I see on other airlines. I think this has to do with the fact there there are only 150 seats (on the A320), and of course not every flight is packed.
I see the bins over EML closed on every flight during boarding until those rows come on. Additionally, some airports pre-board the exit rows which are EML.
