It's unclear to me why the QF office in Seoul is even involved, if you're doing this online via the booking tool.
This issue has come up in other threads with AA-related tickets out of ICN, where the AA Seoul office has somehow got into the act and causes the same problem, even though AA apparently issues tickets booked using the online tool out of Dublin.
A major point of the online tool is that (a) it gets ticketed by the first marketing carrier and (b) one assumes that it goes to whatever (central) office that carrier has chosen to issue the tickets. It makes absolutely no sense at all to have an online tool that simply sends the ticket to a local office. What's the point of that?
I assume that, like AA, QF operates in Seoul via a GSA rather than having their own office. From the AA and QF websites, it does appear that they are different agents but both seem to cause the same problems.
