Many thanks for all that, Raffles - great info about BMI miles. ANA are the *A option for NRT-HKG, but hadn't though about SIN, so that's given us some serious food for thought. ^ Whilst I have zero BMI miles at present, I do have a dormant account so can buy the miles with no problem.

Unfortunately, Canada and Japan are definitely an either/or scenario this year, for time more than anything else. Still not 100% sure I need to go east just yet, so not giving up hope on a CCR burger just yet (my only other F flight was a morning job).
