La Cour des Augustins is a boutique design hotel.

InterContinental Genève is not near the Lac and a bit out of action (but Geneva is a little town, where public transport are excellent) but is still an excellent property (this is the place where most diplomats stay when in Geneva).

Ask for newly renovated rooms.
Junior suites are nice (modern sleek design, with a great view).
The lobby is very elegant. In summer time, you can have a bath at the large the outdoor swimming pool.
The service is excellent.
For group reservation, you may have special rate if the hotel is not full for special event.

Make sure to make your reservation in advance, as hotels can be full in Geneva during special international meetings.
