1. You can bring AMEX card with the card holder and stop by our Seoul Qantas office. Then the card holder can directly sign on credit card bill.
2 . Or you can give us another credit card number to issue your ticket. Diners, Master or Visa will do.(should be your card)
And we have one more thing to ask before issuing ticket.
We feel really sorry to bother you but we would like to have a copy of your passport and a copy of your credit card for security reason.
It’s not about passenger’s credit or something but it’s our policy to have some documents when a booking is made through website and especially when it’s pretty huge amount of ticket fare. Please scan them and send it back to may e-mail.

I can easily pay by VISA card.
Now, may I ask if it is a common procedure to send them a copy of my passport and credit card.
Well, yes and no. Mindpearl (AA South Africa) need you to send images of passport, credit card and an authorisation form for the credit card (per transaction). Though the email doesn't say it, Qantas in Seoul will accept fax receipt of your passport and credit card (if it's not amex).
What is different with the Qantas representative agency in Seoul is that they wont accept a faxed authorisation form for an Amex charge card in lieu of a signed coupon. It is unfortunately a major pain.
So if you want to use Amex, it really means you need to sign a coupon physically in South Korea before a ticket can be issued.
They say that this may well be changing due to contract re-negotiations with American express in Korea. Tentative date was 20 April.
I have found the staff at the Qantas representative office in Seoul to be very helpful, it's unfortunate that there's a major hurdle that you have to get over in terms of payment and they assure me it's amex restrictions not the merchant.
In my itin, all the sectors are on CX and BA plus a short flight on JL, no QF at all. If I need to change the itin in the middle of the trip, which office/airline should I contact?
The ticketing agent is Qantas, so you can contact them. I believe other airlines can do changes on their behalf, but it really seems to be a matter of whom you're talking to at the service desks.
I would think the best approach is to try to get the airline you have the most status with to take over the booking. I've asked on FT if that was possible and was told yes, but I still haven't been game to try.
