But this is my major grievance with LH and myself and my friends I sent to travel with them: not once has LH been honest about the overbooking scenario, not even during Weber times (pre Lupus times).
I remember my first flight I wasn't forced to fly SR on LH in D class. On the return the CI agent told me that this wasn't an actual Biz ticket but a "standby on availability in Biz only ticket". I told him that this was rubbish (I did not use the word "liar" as I do without hesitation these days) and I was given a boarding card without a seat. Upon boarding the GA explained to me that I had to sit in coach. So I refused to board the plane and they threatened to cancel my ticket etc etc but I would not budge and my luggage was loaded .. so they booted someone else.
And ever since this pattern has perpetuated. I don't mind it, I enjoy insulting CSRs to the extent that they blush or call security but I hate it if it happens to my friends who are less experienced and not used to the tricksery.
