Of course, United is not bound by the ADA, but rather by the ACAA. Same argument may apply, but the ACAA appears to be less strict than the ADA, so maybe not. That said, many passengers would likely vote to continue the flight without a lav. I agree UA should accommodate those pax who would choose not to fly... not necessarily with compensation (I won't get into that argument), but certainly with protection on a later flight.
