Pricing F that low might be a way to try to fend of WN in the short run, but one wonders how much it can help in the long run. If US isn't getting premium fares, given its higher costs, I'm hard to see how they are going to stay in business against WN.

Of course, I know I will soon be corrected by everyone on this board who will tell me how the Sandcastle is full of geniuses who have fought off WN for years out west. Notwithstanding that HP wasn't going to survive as a stand alone entity after 9/11 anyways, and that WN has already pwned US in PIT and BWI.
