3. look at the URL in the address bar and find "LANG=FR"

4. change the FR to UK and hit return

The page should now be in english.
That might have very well been so in the past (since I have done it) but both myself and a friend selected picking up tickets in the UK since the required tix were on a TGV, on tgveurope.com (without the having to go through the process you suggest) and which actually eliminates the need to actually "pickup the tickets" anywhere since they can be printed on line.. the system would not accept our US cards .. tried three differents ones.
This was less than two weeks ago
