I don't mean this to be snarky in any way but even though I'm not the OP, I'd be [genuinely] interested in hearing where you would suggest staying/what you would suggest doing in Charlotte. Charlotte is one of those cities that's great for business, not so great for tourism (unless you're into NASCAR). Hopefully, more projects such as the new EpiCentre will help change that.
