The last bus is never crowded. The queues would have cleared. Also there should be available flight crew to walk you to your seat when boarding.
There is no need to rush for locker space in F. Even you want to front closet, you can put your bags on top of other pax bags rather than have them put theirs on top of you.
There is sufficient pre-board time to sip the champers and nibble on the Macadamia nuts while the flight crew finalise ground arrangements prior to push-back.
This is commercial BA not a private jet. Most British people tend to play down their status if they have any. If you want to be pampered and grovelling, fly an Asian airline. BA cannot be everything to everyone as everyone wants a different experience. My time on FT has proved this to me.
KenJohn, that is a great and practical workround for a problem that shouldn't exist. OK, BMW 7 series from lounge to aircraft with grovelling handmaidens (or boys) is going a bit far, but you can't get away from the plain fact that BA treat their premium pax very poorly at boarding at LHR. I too had the "pleasure" of boarding a flight at gate 10 this week (travelling F), and it was chaos. No priority lines, nothing. It isn't a good start and does not give a good impression to folks that have shelled out good dosh for a bit of comfort.
