I work close to SWFC and would second Sniles suggestions if you are around Pudong. Y's table is not amazing value but it is good, the only thing lacking being a view, due to the basement location.

The Park Hyatt has a restaurant, 100 Century Avenue, with great views but (based on one visit on a Friday night) patchy service and mind-blowingly high prices.

One of my favourite place in the french Concession, Lost Heaven, is due to open a branch on the Bund soon, and that will I guess get a fair bit of attention.

The Shanghai branch of M1nt has opened to massive hype - not been yet myself but is definitely an "in" place to go right now. Again, likely to be pretty pricey, but that goes with the territory. http://www.m1nt.com.cn/shanghai.html
