SQ is another obvious choice, ex EWR or JFK via SIN.

Either will be better than UA's old 747 Y 'flying museum.'

Whatever you choose, pay close attention to specific fare class and have a look at the partner earning chart on US website so there are no ugly surprises.

Edited to add: There are cheap connections between TPE and KHH. I don't know of any *A flights into KHH without going through TPE. You may have to book through an agency, though. Have a look at FareCompare for some possible options.

Great info so far!

ANA (All Nippon) is showing some nice Economy fares to TPE. Interestingly, those fares only deliver 70% of the miles to ANA mileage accounts, but according to the US partner earning chart, I should still receive 100% of the miles toward my DM account. Could that be true?

SQ flies only business class EWR-SIN. Or in Y, it's JFK-FRA-SIN.

I'm trying to find the best info on TPE-KHH fares. Also, I believe there is a bullet train between the two cities.
