Well, the economy has hit us like everyone else. Cash is tight. My miles are fairly plentiful, though that last trip to Europe in C has left me with only about 120k.

I check *A flights on US ... and all that's available is F!

My wife: "Oh, well, that's fine with me. Book it."

"But honey," I plead, "that's 50,000 miles. For the same price, I could book a first class ticket to the West Coast... or almost a free ticket in coach to Europe! Let's just spend the money ..."

But does she listen? Nope. So my wife will be sitting on a no-service US flight for 88 minutes in F for 50,000 miles. It's killing me just to think about it.

Thanks for letting me vent, FlyerTalkers. No one else would understand my pain.
Ouch! that hurts. Should I remind you F award between SIN-NRT (10x distance wise) is only 40,000 miles on UA
