In short, it all depends on who you are, which class you are in, status, whether it is lost at your home airport etc - and how much you can bargain with them...
Same here. Got all from nothing up to 150 USD. It really depends.
Anyway there is no such thing like a daily compensation and I did not experienced something like this on any airlines I have flown with. Amex is of great help in such cases and one of the reasons I still keep my Amex card.
