I have a Panasonic Linear shaver (with the huge cleaning/charging base -- this is left behind and not needed for travel, it charges just fine plugged into the cord and cleans under a running tap). The 13000 rpm induction motor makes a huge difference -- works much better than other shavers, even the otherwise excellent Braun. But shavers are very subjective; for my skin the Panasonic is the best that I have found (and I've bought 5 or 6 kinds and all were ultimately rejected). Not quite as good as a blade, but a lot more convenient at times. I do think a wet/dry shaver is an important feature (can shave while showering, for example).
