You are right! I just spoke with an AA agent and I was told that an entire new reservation has to be created and apply the residual value of the ticket into it. Somehow, AA plays it MUCH MUCH differently than UA. I thought I am all set to requalify for PE this year. It seems like I need to make two more FLL-SFO reservations to hit 1K by June 15.
