Major website and Phone issues?
I just tried calling Hilton Honors after being unable to login to their website for two days, and receiving a "we are having technical difficulties" message when trying to do so. The agent on the phone stated that _her_ systems were also down, and to try calling back in serveral hours. I am a Marriott Plat but I'm trying HHonors because they offer better rates in New York City. Is this typical for them, or a one-time glitch?
I have two reasons for calling: First, I cancelled an award stay, and the website said that my certs would be voided and points re-credited, however several days passed, and nothing was returned.
Second, I made a reservation online using the Team USA Advantage program link, then a week later, I cancelled it and re-booked when a better rate / room type became available (I tried to change it through the Team USA site, but it wouldn't let me, it kept glitching). Now, they are saying that I made _4_ separate reservations, and they are trying to say that I was no-show the other ones (I am at the property right now). I only ever got 2 confirmation e-mails from them, so I know this is some kind of glitch. Has this happened to anyone else?
So far, I'm seriously unimpressed by Hilton's electronic systems.
