Flight 1861 (BOS-ATL), which I am flying next week, does not fit in any of the listed categories. It is close to but not quite 1000 miles, but is nearly three hours in length. It departs at 12:10PM. According to the list, FC passengers receive a snack in flights under 1025 miles, but a meal in flights lasting 2-3.5 hours. Meal service for flight 1861 is coded "R" (Refreshments), not "S" (snack). Can anyone explain the discrepancy?

Thanks for your thoughts.
Well 1851/53/55 are either 752's, 738's, or (very rare) 763's. IIRC the last flight (either 1871 or 1873) is a 757. All other flights are M88's. I don't think they are capable of producing hot meals, and I believe you'll be stuck with the snack basket. But usually the bigger planes will get meals, as they travel during peak times when meals need to be served.

Hope you had a nice flight.
