There are always cheap fares ex CNS. It is only about an hour flight as I recall.

If anyone flies to PNG consider paying the extra to fly to Mr Hagen or Goroka in the highlands .. also fairly dangerous, but at least interesting to visit.

The same way no-one sane flies and stays in Kingston Jamaica, but instead go to Montego Bay or Negril, that is how things are in PNG.
