At some point UA faces a problem with giving away a lot of miles to generate revenue but also wanting us to use those miles rather than just pile them up, because they are a liability on their books. But I am guessing airlines want to right now generate revenue and worry about the mileage fallout another year.

I am no expert, so I am eager to see my opinion challenged, especially with someone with more facts than myself.
The reduced mileage awards were all for Y IIRC, I could see them jacking C/F awards again, especially partner awards. I think there was a ppt deck that someone linked to once that outlined the usage of miles and the sum of it is FT is a poor representation of the overall public as lots of awards were for Y and even domestic Y. So if they further jacked up the premium awards it wouldn't impact how most people use the miles and while many here will complain (rightfully so) most will still use MP to redeem premium partner awards.

The only other "enhancement" I could foresee would be some sort of a <100% RDM (and maybe even EQM but I'd see that as less likely) earning on cheaper fare buckets.
