Said obnoxious snorer woke me up at multiple times throughout the flight! Arg.

Oh, now I know who you're talking about. Yes, I did notice them.. they were, um, big.

Yeah it really was. I was happy that we had gotten a bite to eat at the hotel cafe before heading out to the airport, so I wasn't too hungry. I still ate it, but it was kind of nasty. UA's C product really needs to up the food quality. The seat is good, now fix the food.

The driver then asked for +1's entire wallet, claimed that the bills were all fake, and in the process of "inspecting" the bills pocketed about five 100-peso bills. The driver suggested that +1 go to an ATM to get "real" money to pay for the ride, and drove to an ATM and pretended to wait while +1 took out money. But then the cab drove off for no apparent reason, and only later in the day did +1 discover that his wallet was missing 500 pesos, and realize that the cab driver had pocketed them during the wallet "inspection," before dumping +1 at the ATM and driving off.
Yikes! That really is terrible.

My sense in reading this thread is that these types of pickpocket/scam things were really bad for awhile, then got better over the last couple of years as the economy recovered, but now has gone down a bit as of late. A couple we met at the hotel had the "green spray" trick done to them. Someone sprayed a foul-smelling liquid on them and then came over to offer a handkerchief while trying to lift the couple's camera and wallet. The hotel wasn't surprised.. said it happens a lot.
