I try to recline slowly in order to give the person behind me time to react if necessary. But everyone knows that seats recline. If I put something in the path of a seat that may recline at any moment, it's
my responsibility, not that of the person in the reclining seat. I would certainly not accept responsibility for anyone else's failure to anticipate my doing something that the airline and the seat fully allow me to do.
