vuittonsofstyle I'd actually agree with you there much as I like the bar.Take a step away from the bar and head downstairs to the WC and you walk on worn old carpet.It's a casualty of being a walk in loo off the street practically from BLT.
I also thought that the Mandarin was looking very tired indeed - scuffed furniture, marks on the walls.
We didn't stay there but were thinking of it for next time-maybe not if thats your view.
They lost the Exec Chef at Asiate and the Sous has been promoted. Food was OK, but very ordinary for the price.
Now that is a shame
I think that there are much better hotel options in NYC these days.
I think you might have commented in DavidO's New York site inspection thread.But,the four seasons apart are you thinking in the main of boutique hotels?
