I want to ticket via AA to "reduce" fuel fines and minimize issues using eVIPs etc. When I got this priced by DUBLIN - I was given a price of 5,853,120 KRW (inc. 729,820 KRW in taxes) - that seems very high (well - very being relative of course...)

So here's what I did with the online tool:
A) ...
B) ...
C) Itinerary starting as ICN-xNRT-xDFW-MIA using AA codeshare sends it to AA Europe - taxes of 348,600
The AA RTW desks taxes are more than double of the online tool. I understand the HK stop adds fees etc. but it doesn't appear to be that... I can't figure out why the RTW desk is so high - and they won't give me/ can't give me a breakdown!!!
Any ideas folks? Any way I can stick with the HKG stop and go thru AA? Send it to a TA without going thru the ATW desk could be an option - but I don't see it changing what DUB does...
Thanks for your help / thoughts...

I guesss, collectively, we still haven't answered Nick's query - why are the taxes through AA RTW desk more than double those if booking through the tool with an AA codeshare first segment.
The tool gives a breakdown of the taxes and charges. Nick says the RTW desk "can't/won't" give a breakdown. This matches my experience last year -RTW desk said it couldn't but the AA desk in Australia did give me a breakdown when I rang them to ticket.
