Thanks for all the advice. I've now discovered that we only have 5 hours but may look at a quick flying visit to lantau.

In response to bizclassboy's comment about searching the forum before posting. I did exactly that; but the information in the FAQ is not that detailed and more general than the type of specific info my question has elicited from the very helpful travellers who have responsed. Thus the reason for my question.

Plan now is quick shower in the Pier, flying visit to Lantau, quick visit to the shops for Mrs PJS999 then a quick drink in the Wing before off to Sydney.
