Sorry for the mistake in the title

I profusely apologize if there are thousands threads regarding this but my search of "762" did not return any results.
We'll be travelling in coach from LAX to JFK, and whereas I understand that coach seat is just that, could anyone suggest what seats are best?
I assume we'll be allowed in FL at LAX even though we're just in coach?
